Bangkok – 18 October 2019 – Mr. Sumeth Lersumitkul, Chairman of the Board, Ms. Suwanna Chokdee-anand, CEO, and directors of Moong Pattana International Public Co., Ltd. (mai: MOONG), excellency in marketing to its retail business in health and wellness products focus on 4 categories (baby and mom; seniors; food and beverage; and personal-care and household), received certification from Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition against Corruption (CAC). MOONG was one of 33 companies to receive the first extension. The certification granting ceremony was held at the CAC’s annual conference on October 18, 2019.

Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition against Corruption or CAC allows private enterprises to voluntarily participate in their program. A company’s decision to join the CAC demonstrates their dedication to fostering an ethical mindset across the company in acting against corruption and bribery. CAC certified companies have completed a self-evaluation and have implemented policies and compliance standards to prevent corruption as per criteria set by the CAC, which is then verified and signed-off by the company’s audit committee chairman. CAC certification is valid for three years for large companies as well as SMEs. After three years, a certified company must recertify by undergoing the self-evaluation process and requesting certification.

Moong Pattana International PCL focuses on sustainable development by offering quality products that meet demands for improved healthcare and well-being. The company applies principles of good governance, and has strict anti-corruption policies and practices in place ensuring there is no corrupt activity or link to corruption, either directly or indirectly. This in turn, promotes transparency and accountability, resulting in improved trust among all stakeholders. MOONG adopted these practices in 2016, and after a three-year term, had its CAC certification renewed this year.
